A few days ago I formatted my wd passport essential 1.0 tb drive I lost all my data including password setup .Is there still any for me to recover my password setup for my drive. I want to password protected my drive.

    Hi, Tanveer.

I am afraid not. Once you formatted the drive, everything will be gone (though not permanenlty). Data recovery software can only retrieve those ‘real data’ (instead of application, setup etc) back. So if you want to password protect the drive again, I suppose you have to reintall the encryption software and re-set up the password.
